Introduction:

In an endeavor to revitalize the sacred Buddha Valley of Jethian, Nava Nalanda Mahavihara organized the 10th Dhamma Walk on December 13th, 2023, marking the 'Jethian-Rajgir Dharmayatra.' This annual event, jointly presented by the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, Bihar Tourism, LFDI, IBC, New Delhi, and the Mahabodhi Temple, unfolded on the serene grounds of Nava Nalanda Mahavihara.

Mahamoggalan: A Window into Buddhist Wisdom:

Mahamoggalan, a distinguished disciple of Lord Buddha, earned renown for his exceptional wisdom and steadfast commitment to the path of enlightenment. His teachings emphasized mindfulness, compassion, and the cultivation of inner peace. The Mahamoggalan Walk, organized by Nava Nalanda Mahavihara on December 13th, 2023, sought to honor and celebrate the profound teachings of Mahamoggalan, a key figure in Buddhist history.

The Mahamoggalan Walk: An Inward Journey:

Central to the event was the Mahamoggalan Walk—a symbolic expedition mirroring the spiritual path trodden by Mahamoggalan himself. Participants gathered at Nava Nalanda Mahavihara, embarking on a meditative walk that prompted reflection upon the core principles of Buddhism and Mahamoggalan's teachings. This was not merely a physical journey but a profound exploration of inner consciousness and self-discovery.

Mindfulness Stations: Pause Points for Spiritual Contemplation:

En route the Mahamoggalan Walk, participants encountered strategically placed mindfulness stations designed to inspire contemplation and reflection. Each station delved into specific facets of Mahamoggalan's teachings, including compassion, mindfulness, and ethical conduct. These pauses became moments of introspection, allowing participants to connect with the essence of Buddhism and deepen their understanding of Mahamoggalan's profound insights.

Cultural Performances and Dharma Talks:

Beyond the Mahamoggalan Walk, the event featured cultural performances and Dharma talks delivered by eminent scholars and monks. These sessions provided a broader context for comprehending Mahamoggalan's teachings and their relevance in contemporary times. Participants engaged in discussions, posed questions, and gained valuable insights into the practical application of Buddhist philosophy in their daily lives.

Community Engagement and Spiritual Bonding:

The Mahamoggalan and Mahamoggalan Walk became a platform for like-minded individuals to converge and forge spiritual connections. The sense of community and shared purpose fostered an atmosphere of harmony and unity. Participants exchanged experiences, discussed their spiritual journeys, and formed bonds that extended beyond the event, creating a lasting network of spiritual camaraderie.

 Conclusion:

The Mahamoggalan Walk organized by Nava Nalanda Mahavihara on December 13th, 2023, transcended being a mere event; it became a spiritual journey resonating with the timeless teachings of Mahamoggalan. As participants traversed the path of mindfulness and reflection, they not only celebrated the wisdom of a revered disciple of Lord Buddha but also deepened their own understanding of the profound truths underlying the path to enlightenment.
