 पाण्डुलिपियाँ हमारे देश की धरोहर नालन्दा का इतिहास अत्यन्त गौरवशाली रहा है।  शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में इसे विश्व गुरू की उपाधि से सम्बोधित करना अतिश्योक्ति नहीं होगी। नालंदा के आचार्यों ने न केवल स्वदेश बल्कि विदेशों में भी भारतीय ज्ञान, संस्कृति, कला आदि को प्रचारित-प्रसारित किया है। फलस्वरुप नालन्दा की गरिमा को पुर्नस्थापित करने हेतु बिहार सरकार ने सन् 1951 ई. में बौद्ध अध्ययन–अध्यापन के केन्द्र के रूप में नव नालन्दा महाविहार की स्थापना की जो अपने विकास क्रम के विभिन्न सोपानों को पार कर आज संस्कृति मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार के अधीन सम विश्वविद्यालय के रूप में स्थापित है। संस्कृति मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा संचालित राष्ट्रीय पाण्डुलिपि मिशन ने महाविहार के अंर्तगत् मई 2005 को 'पाण्डुलिपि संसाधन केन्द्र' स्थापित किया। तब से लेकर इस केन्द्र के द्वारा नालंदा जिला के अतिरिक्त नवादा, पटना, गया, औरंगाबाद आदि जिलों में 26,000 पाण्डुलिपियों की खोज की है, जिसमें 22,200 पाण्डुलिपियों का इलेक्ट्रोनिक डाटा भी तैयार कर लिया गया है।  पाण्डुलिपियाँ हमारी विरासत हैं, ये संस्कृति का महत्वपूर्ण अ...
